HDMI and DVI are both regarded as excellent methods of cable connection that for high definition video. In terms of quality, both of these are exactly the same, so these two should not be compared in terms of quality. There is a system that HDMI uses in order to protect its media called High Definition Content Protection (HDCP) in which HDMI incorporates and DVI currently does not.
